FOR ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREARMS

A FORMER provincial correspondent of a national newspaper was arrested on March 15  afternoon for alleged violation of Republic Act 10591 in his resort/residence in Barangay Aserda, Mapandan town.

Former news correspondent Jaime Aquino was nabbed during the implementation of a search warrant made by personnel of the National Bureau of Investigation-National Capital Region (NBI-NCR).

The search warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 51 judge in Tayug town  that resulted in his arrest after finding one caliber. 45 pistol, eight bullets and two pieces of hand grenade inside his residence.

Aquino and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought by the NBI-NCR for proper disposition and filing of charges. (Eva Visperas)
