More schools in region expected to resume F-2-F classes

TWO ALAMINOS SCHOOLS ALREADY RESUMED

THE 19 public schools and a private school in the Ilocos Region given the authority to conduct limited face-to-face (F2F) classes have resumed their activities starting February 16 since the region‘s alert level has been downgraded to Level 2.

According to the Department of Education Region 1 Public Affairs Unit head Cesar Bucsit,  the schools are in Pangasinan, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte.

In Pangasinan, the students at Longos Elementary School and 100 Islands Cowboy Christian Learning Center, both in Alaminos City, have resumed their F-2-F  activities.

The schools have passed the different safety assessments conducted by the DepEd and the Department of Health, he said.

Bucsit said more schools in the region are expected to start their limited F2F classes in the third week of this month.

In a statement, DepEd Ilocos regional director Tolentino Aquino said his office is working to ensure that learners, teachers, and personnel are all safe. (Ahikam Pasion)
