Beware of persons soliciting personal info for “ayuda”
THE office of the provincial governor warned the public about supporting a group misrepresenting itself to be authorized by the provincial government to solicit personal information using forms with the logo “I Love Pangasinan”, purportedly to qualify them as recipients of an alleged “Ayuda Program”.
The warning was contained in a February 3, 2022 dated Letter Circular No. 0014 addressed to all city and municipal mayors, signed by Provincial Administrator Nimrod Camba.
Camba said the illegal activity has come to the attention of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and verified by the Provincial Coordinator of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Office 1.
He said that neither the provincial government nor the DSWD Regional Office 1 is implementing any ‘Ayuda Program.’
He alerted all mayors and heads or local social welfare and development officers to watch out for the presence of the group in their towns and cities and to disseminate the information to their constituents. (Leonardo Micua)
