No new Covid cases on Dec 25, 27

DAILY AVERAGE: ONLY 3 NEW CASES

THERE were no new cases registered by Pangasinan on December 25 and 27 making the province more optimistic about inching closer to being COVID-19 free, based on the daily monitoring of the Provincial Health Office (PHO).

The PHO data showed there were 21 patients that recovered from December 23 to 28 compared to the new cases that were logged, pegged to just 15. But still one person died on December 28.

This brought down the number of active cases to 33, from 40 last December 23.

Overall, Pangasinan already registered 35,610 cases, 34,355 of which had recovered and 1,222 deaths.

Including the tally on December 22, the seven-day daily average of cases up to December 28 was down to 3, from the seven-day daily average of 5 for the period December 15 to 21.

The only remaining cases were located in Bayambang and Malasiqui (4 each), Lingayen, Mangaldan, Rosales, San Fabian, Sta. Barbara, Umingan, Villasis (2 each), and Aguilar, Alcala, Bautista, Burgos, San Carlos City, San Nicolas and Urdaneta City (1 each).

Thirty nine towns and cities are now COVID-19 free. They are Agno, Alaminos City, Asingan, Balungao, Bani, Basista, Bautista, Binalonan, Bugallon, Calasiao, Dagupan City, Dasol, Infanta, Labrador, Mabini, Mangatarem, Natividad, Pozorrubio, San Jacinto, San Manuel, San Quintin, Sto.
