DILG cites 46 Pangasinan LGUs in 2021
SEAL OF GOOD FINANCIAL HOUSEKEEPING
ONLY 46 of the 48 local government units (LGUs) in Pangasinan received the 2021 Good Financial Housekeeping (GPH) seal of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Adjudged winners are 42 towns and all four cities of the province were compliant with the GFH standards.
Cited were the towns of Agno, Alcala, Aguilar, Anda, Asingan, Balungao, Bani, Basista, Bautista, Bayambang, Binalonan, Binmaley, Bolinao, Bugallon, Burgos, Calasiao, Dasol, Infanta, Labrador, Lingayen, Mabini, Malasiqui, Manaoag, Mangaldan, Mangatarem, Mapandan, Pozorrubio, Rosales, San Fabian, San Jacinto, San Manuel, San Nicolas, San Quintin, Sta. Barbara, Sta. Maria, Sto. Tomas, Sison, Sual, Umingan, Urbiztondo, Villasis, and Laoac.
All the the four cities – Alaminos City, Dagupan City, San Carlos City, and Urdaneta City – were cited.
Meanwhile, the provincial government was cited anew, a consistent recipient of the seal since 2015.
The recipients were evaluated on their performance in internal housekeeping focusing on good planning, sound fiscal management, transparency and accountability, and valuing of performance information.
The GFH seal looks into comprehensive development plans and executive-legislative agenda, Commission on Audit observations, implementation of audit findings, annual budget, updated Local Revenue Code, quarterly and annual statement of receipts and expenditures, compliance with the Anti-Red Tape Law, full disclosure of local budget and finances, bids and public offerings, use of performance monitoring tools or scorecard systems, and recognitions received.
