LYCEUM-Northwestern University (L-NU), considered as having the largest university campus in Dagupan City, described its participation in the three-day National Vaccination Days and is raring to continue until supply lasts.

According to Department of Health’s (DOH) data, there were 2,921 individuals vaccinated in the university: 600 on the first day, 818 on November 30, and 1,510 on December 1.

The National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) allotted a total of 15,000 doses of vaccines to L-NU.

Aside from doctors from L-NU’s partner organizations and agencies, senior students and faculty members from L-NU’s allied medical and non-medical courses were on hand to assist in the processing of the residents.

Dr. Luz Duque-Hammershaimb, university president, said in an earlier interview that L-NU will continue serving as a vaccination area, as part of its community service, an advocacy that she had already proposed last year.

Now, with more partners, L-NU won’t stop vaccinating any time soon.

“We will continue until we are done with the ones who registered and until allocation runs out”, said Duque-Hammershaimb.

The university’s partners in the vaccination drive are: Dagupan City Health Office, Dagupan Doctors Villaflor Medical Hospital, Pangasinan Medical Society, Association of Private Schools, Colleges & Universities (APSCU), Department of Health, PDOH, RDOH, Region 1 Medical Center, PNP Dagupan, Barangay Tapuac, and the alumni of L-NU.
