Deadline for voter’s registration Sep. 30, Thursday
WITH just four remaining days before the September 30, 2021 voter’s registration deadline, the Commission on Election (Comelec) reminded the public to grab the opportunity and register.
In a radio interview on Wednesday, City Elections Officer lawyer Michael Sarmiento said the commission will not extend the registration deadline citing the scheduled filing of certificates of candidacies in the 2022 national and local elections.
However, Sarmiento said the Dagupan office is closed from Sept. 27 up to 30.
Instead, he urged Dagupeños to proceed to SM Center Dagupan, off-site registration will be open from Monday to Thursday (Sep. 30) to accommodate more applicants.
Sarmiento said Comelec offices are anticipating the last-minute rush to register this week.
He said Dagupan City has 128,886 registered voters qualified to participate in next year’s election but he expects the number to reach 130,000 this week. (Jerick Pasiliao/Ahikam Pasion)
