Workers told: Observe health, safety protocols always
THE Department of Health-Center for Health Development 1 confirmed that most of those being infected by COVID-19 today are members of the working class who obviously failed to observe the minimum health protocol in their offices and work places.
This was the observation of Dr. Rheuel Bobis, chief of the Infectious Disease Unit of DOH-CHD 1, who appealed to workers and employees not to relax their guard and be complacent in their work places amid the rising COVID-18 cases in the region.
Bobis echoed the observation of Mayor Brian Lim of Dagupan City who said in a video clip that most infections are traced to workplaces in Dagupan.
He called on the workers to always wear their face masks in their work places and avoid eating in groups and close to each other, saying that when it is during meal time when people need to remove their face masks at which time the virus could be transmitted
Noting that most workers use public transportation when they go to their work and offices, Bobis reminded them to wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water or alcohol.
According to Bobis, it is always necessary to maintain health and safety protocols inside and even outside the work places. (Leonardo Micua)
