Persons circulating letter of OWWA to DOH warned
THE regional office of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) warned the public against circulating its letter to the Ilocos Center for Health Development 1 (CHD 1) of the Department of Health (DOH) regarding the returning overseas Filipino worker who was confirmed to be positive of the COVID-19 Delta variant that was inadvertently leaked.
In an official statement, OWWA said anyone proven to have circulated the letter will be charged for violation of the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
The letter contained the names of OWWA duty officers who assisted the Delta positive patient at the drop-off point at the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) on Aug. 3. (Jerick Pasiliao)
