9 nabbed in Sta. Barbara drug den raid
JOINT anti-drug operatives dismantled a drug den in Barangay Patayac in Sta Barbara town, after a buy-bust operation, that led to the arrest of nine persons late Thursday night, August 12.
Retchie Camacho, newly-installed Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Provincial Officer, said the suspect, Glenn Lomibao Tamondong, 37, was the subject of the operation.
“He [Tamondong] was also the drug den maintainer. Yung bahay niya nagging one-stop shop. Bibili mga parokyano doon tapos kung gusto nila gumamit pwede rin doon”, said Camacho.
Camacho identified the other suspects as Federico Dela Cruz Siapno, 55, resident of Barangay Balingueo in Sta. Barbara town, Rene Arnidobal Soriano, 30, Sammy Rolusta, 42, Rex Quibaya dela Cruz, 30, Jerric Mamaril de Vera, 27, all residents of Barangay Patayac, Gerick Abando Perreraz, 19, of Brgy. Caranglaan, Dagupan City, his partner Jemalyn delos Santos Bron, 19, of Barangay Pantal, Dagupan City, and Cyra Castañeda Aquino, 19, of Barangay Bonuan Gueset, Dagupan City.
Using a P500 buy-bust money, the PDEA operative bought one heat-sealed plastic sachet containing shabu. Tamondong was arrested once the transaction was consummated.
When the operative purchased the illegal drug, the other suspects were in the den.
During the clearing operations, the team seized 12 more sachets of suspected shabu, three cellphones, two digital weighing scales, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
An inventory of the seized sachets showed the recovered shabu weighed 12 grams, estimated to be worth P81,600 in the streets.
Tamondong, as high value target (HVT), was under PDEA surveillance for the past months.
The suspects are under PDEA custody, and with violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15 of Republic Act 9165 were filed against the suspects.
