Urdaneta City cases still 2nd highest

ACTIVE COVID-19 cases continue to soar in Urdaneta City as nine new confirmed cases were tallied on May 19, raising its number of active cases to 62, from 53 on May 18.

Mayor Julio Parayno III reported on the city’s Facebook account that all the patients are symptomatic and have co-morbidities except for two.

The mayor’s report acknowledged that two of the new cases had history of local travels: the 37-year-old man from Barangay Nancayasan who had traveled to Munoz, Nueva Ecija while the man from Nancamaliran West travelled to Villasis.

The other cases are three women: a 59-year-old woman from Nancamaliran East, a 42-year-old woman from Anonas and a 60-year-old woman from Tipuso, and: a 44-year-old from Dilan Paurido, a 44-year-old from Tulong, a 51-year-old from Poblacion and a 23-year-old from Consolacion.

As of May 19, Urdaneta City is second to San Carlos City with the highest number of active cases in the COVID-19 watch list of the Provincial Health  Office. (Leonardo Micua)
