Dagupan: Back as 2nd most number of cases
DAGUPAN was again back near the top in the number of active COVID-19 cases in Pangasinan, accounting for 81 active cases as of May 11, based on the latest monitoring posted on social media by Dagupan’s Public Information Office.
This after 18 more new cases were added to its tally that day with only seven recoveries listed.
Dr. Ophelia Rivera, Dagupan’s COVID-19 focal person, confirmed the new positive cases registered and attributed these to transmission of the virus from one family member to another.
The new cases reportedly came from Barangays Mayombo, where a 62-year-old man reportedly died a day earlier, and Lasip Chico.
The latest cases brought to 1,482 the total number of cases in Dagupan since the contagion began last year. Of the number, 1,331 had recovered and 70 had died.
Last May 5, new active cases totaled 71.
As of May 11, Caranglaan led reported the most number of cases, followed by Pantal (10), Malued (9), Bonuan Gueset (8), Mayombo (8), Mangin (6), Herero-Perez (5), Tambac (4), Bonuan Binloc (3), Bonuan Boquig (3), Carael (2), Lasip Chico (2), Poblacion Oeste (2), Barangay IV (2), Tapuac (2), Bacayao Norte, (1) Lucao (1), Pogo Grande (1) and Pugaro (1).
