PHO: Only 60% BHERTs willing to get jab
THE Pangasinan Provincial Health Office (PHO) revealed only 60% of Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERT) in the province are willing to be inoculated.
Dr. Anna de Guzman, provincial health officer, confirmed this in an interview as she clarified that despite the 90 to 95 percent acceptance rate among hospitals and Rural Health Units (RHUs), PHO’s data shows only a 60 percent acceptance rate among BHERTs, the barangay’s primary frontliners in the war vs COVID-19.
De Guzman laments that 40% are still not willing to be inoculated and she reminds them that they will still have priority while vaccine supply lasts.
Meanwhile, she said only 60 percent of hospital personnel in both public and private hospitals in the province have been inoculated because of lack of supply. (Ahikam Pasion)
