DBM allots P17-M for eco-tourism park in San Carlos City
THE development of the eco-tourism site in Brgy. Bocboc in San Carlos City can begin with the allotment of P17 million by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for its construction.
The plan of the city government to develop the river in the barangay as “San Carlos City Esplanade Bocboc People’s Park” was confirmed by the city information office (CIO) last week,
The first phase of the construction is expected to start this year.
To boost the city’s tourism, the City Planning and Development Office will construct boating sites, walkways, biking areas, playgrounds,basketball court, tennis court, designated parking areas, zip line, commercial zones, and restaurants in the area.
The Bocboc River is part of the Agno River basin where people celebrate “Pista’y Dayat” (Beach Feast) during the month of May. (Jerick Pasiliao)
