Project ITLOG launched in Bayambang
THE Municipal Agriculture Office of Bayambang recently launched Project ITLOG, or Initiative Towards Livelihood and Opportunities for Growth, on Jan. 18 at the Pantol Evacuation Center.
This project, in tandem with the Bayambang Poverty Reduction Action Team (BPRAT) and the Kasama Kita sa Barangay Foundation Inc., has an initial 10 farmer beneficiaries.
BPRAT focal person Valentine Garcia said the recipients will each receive 192 ready-to-lay pullets, chicken cage and feeds on Jan, 22 and 23.
One of the highlights of the launching program was the signing of the memorandum of agreement between the Kasama Kita sa Barangay Foundation and the beneficiaries about the project’s P225,000 start-up capital payable in two years.
Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao, in his message via zoom video, advised the beneficiaries to make the livelihood project successful for their own benefit and not to break the trust of the Foundation based on the signed MOA.
On hand to explain the project, how to start a poultry business, proper care and tips for eggs marketing was a representative of Danny Chua Sim Trading. (Eva Visperas)
