Binalonan mayor places 2 homes under Extreme ECQ
THE mayor of Binalonan town issued an executive order placing specifically homes of two families in the town under extreme enhanced community quarantine (EECQ) effective Dec. 17 due to new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in their households.
In his Executive Order No. 69, Mayor Ramon Guico Jr. said new COVID-19 cases were confirmed after the conduct of swab tests on members of the household.
Placed under EECQ were homes of COVID patient no. 21 in Zone 1 Moreno, and patient no. 22 in Zone 4, Poblacion.
“On the recommendation of the IATF (Inter Agency Task Force) , it is best to act on the side of prudence and safety, thereby limiting the movement of the people living with the patients or within the vicinity of their residence,” the mayor said.
The order bars anyone from entering or leaving their residences, strict quarantine is imposed.
For essential needs like foods and medicines, the affected families are told to coordinate their requirements with their respective Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) who shall do the purchasing for the families.
The Barangay Quarantine Enforcement Teams are under orders to see to it that quarantine protocols are strictly implemented in the two households. (PhilStar Wire Service/ECV)
