Man stabbed by enraged neighbor
A 23-year-old man here was hospitalized after being stabbed with a pair of scissors while trying to pacify a neighbor who went berserk in Barangay Pandayan in Alaminos City.
Victim Guillermo Begonia was sleeping soundly in his house when he was awaken by incessant rant in outrage by 33-year-old neighbor Mark Anthony Payas.
Begonia rushed outside to try calm down the suspect, but Payas drew a pair of scissors and stabbed Begonia in the abdomen. Payas ran away but was eventually nabbed by the police.
Begonia was rushed to the hospital and is now in stable condition. Payas is facing a charge for attempted homicide. (Ahikam Pasion)
