PNP-HPG warns vs. cheap sale of vehicles
THE Pangasinan PNP-Highway Patrol Group has warned against an increasing number of scam operations involving sale and investment in motor vehicles.
According to P/Major Rufino Noog, chief of the PNP-HPG in Pangasinan, many local residents have already fallen victims to sale of stolen vehicles or rented cars.
According to P/Col. Redrico Maranan, provincincial police director, persons being enticed to buy and or invest in low-priced cars must demand for proofs of ownership before paying.
Maranan advised potential buyers to take a vehicle being sold to the HPG office in Lingayen to verify the status of the vehicle because it could be stolen or a vehicle assigned to a rent-a-car company before paying. (Nora Dominguez)
