25 towns, 1 city COVID-19-free, 22 still infected

AS of August 14, Thursday, 25 towns and one city in Pangasinan were considered COVID-19-free, leaving only 22 towns and cities still infected where the 46 active cases come from.
According to the monitoring of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), the towns and city deemed free of COVID-19 are: Agno, Aguilar, Anda, Asingan, Bani, Binalonan, Binmaley, Bolinao, Bugallon, Burgos, Dasol, Infanta, Laoac, Mabini, Mapandan, Mangaldan, Mangatarem, Natividad, San Carlos City, San Fabian, San Jacinto, San Manuel, San Quintin, Sison, Sto. Tomas, and Tayug.
The recorded COVID-19 cases in these 25 towns and one city have already recovered and had been sent home to their respective families.
Meanwhile, records of the PHO showed that the 46 confirmed active COVID-19 cases are from Alaminos City (3), Alcala (1) Balungao (1), Basista (1), Bautista (2), Bayambang (2), Calasiao (1), Dagupan City (1), Labrador (1), Lingayen (1), Malasiqui (1), Manaoag (1), Pozorrubio (1), Rosales (1), San Nicolas (4), Sta. Barbara (1), Sta, Maria (1), Sual (9), Umingan (8), Urdaneta City (4), Villasis (2) and Urbiztondo (1).
So far, only Dasol and Mangaldan are the only towns in Pangasinan without any recorded COVID-19 case since the contagion started March 16 this year.
The number of patients that recovered has increased to 228 after 10 patients recovered last August 14 while there were six newly confirmed cases.
Those who recovered were a 49-year-old male from Calasiao, 36-year-old female from Aguilar, 49-year-old male from Sual, 42-year-old female from Sual; a 25-year-old female from Sual, 41-year-old male from Bugallon, 34-year-old female from Sual, 39-year-old male from Sual, 36-year-old male from San Quintin, and 50-year-old male from Manaoag.
The new confirmed cases on August 14 are a 43-year-old male from Bayambang, a 12-year-old male from Umingan, and a 45-year-old female from Umingan, a 35-year-old male from Sta. Barbara, a 29-year-old female from Villasis and a 32-year-old male from Dagupan City, who were all admitted on August 13. (Leonardo Micua)
