Pangasinan PPO, Dagupan and Villasis PNP stations cited as region’s best
THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office swept the individual, unit and special awards during the 119th Police Servicer Anniversary celebration on August 6 at Camp Brig. General Oscar Florendo in San Fernando City, La Union.
Aside from winning as the Best Police Provincial Office in Region 1, the Pangasinan PPO also earned the highest individual award with the citation of P/Colonel Redrico Maranan, police provincial director, as the Best Police Commissioned Officer for Administration.
Both awards were presented to Maranan by P/Brig. General Rodolfo Azurin Jr., police regional director, in a ceremony at PRO 1 Grandstand.
The Pangasinan PPO received special unit awards in its campaign against high value illegal drug personalities against illegal drugs, illegal gambling and loose firearms.
Meanwhile, the Dagupan City Police Station headed by P/Lt. Colonel Abubakar Mangelen Jr., was cited as the region’s Best City Police Station and the Villasis Police Station headed by P/Major Fernando Fernandez as the Best Municipal Police Station.
P/Major Exzar Redlatado of the Pangasinan PPO received a special award as Police Commissioned Officer while P/SSgt. Carlos Ian Furugganan also of the Pangasinan PPO, received a special award as Police Non-Commissioned Officer.
