G Spot
You
By Virginia Jasmin Pasalo
THERE are times when you like someone very much but you do nothing. Because you know that when you start, it is the start of something that may have serious impact on others. Also, it might have the most serious impact on you. It can start with some songs, a few poems, several calls, and then… you learn that he has a complicated life, that he has bigger responsibilities, and you hesitate, let the water flow on its own, without providing a path for it to flow through.
You too, have responsibilities, especially to yourself. To maintain the peace, the serenity that so far, you have achieved, through constant reflection, detachment and engagement with things that continue to shape your being and the cosmology of your existence.
But, living on the edge attracts you, so you put one foot into the water, and keep the other safely on the ground. You expect some things, as he does, and in this fusion and negotiation, you give a little, or a little too much. Even if, it is just in the imagination, you cannot deny that he begins to encroach on space, within the space you thought was impenetrable and sacred, and reserved, only for you.
Occupation
you grow in my heart
every day, little by little
a revolution evolving
expanding
occupying
every space
beyond my capacity
to hold from exploding
digging, in haste,
my own tomb.
Your guards are down, you float in the spontaneity of uncertainty, you even like, the smell of his sweat, as you imagined it to smell, the smell of experience and the unknown, the smell of earth being broken, explored to its depths. The water flows through, creating its own path.
The smell of trust
we dance,
the hunted and the hunter
you and I, we dance
driven by the need
to live, to survive
we have chosen
to keep on dancing,
this way, calibrating steps
realizing no other way
to exist.
