Urdaneta City extends EECQ to April 30
THE declaration of Extreme Enhanced Community Quarantine in Urdaneta was extended till April 30 by virtue of the Executive Order No. 34, Series of 2020 issued on April 13 by Mayor Julio F. Parayno III.
The EO mandates that the movement of people within Urdaneta City is restricted for the purpose of accessing basic necessities and things essential to survival such as food and medicine.
To support the situation, all barangays have been encouraged to put up “Talipapa” to enable their residents to have easy access to basic commodities.
Barangay officials have been reminded to ensure that only residents granted quarantine pass are allowed to leave their homes to buy basic necessities.
The EO continues to ban persons who are not city residents from entering and leaving the city except those who are authorized to pass through under exceptional circumstances.
As of April 14, records of the Provincial Health Office, Urdaneta City has so far registered two confirmed COVID-19 cases (one was confined and the other recovered; six Patients Under Investigation (two were confined and four recovered). (Leonardo Micua)
