EPDH RE-OPENS
THE Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital (EPDH) in Tayug has resumed its operations on April 16 after it was temporarily closed on April 5 when a doctor in the hospital tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In an advisory posted on the provincial government’s Facebook page, Dr. Anna de Guzman, provincial health officer, said 36 of the 37 persons that had close contacts with the COVID-19 infected doctor, and all EPDH hospital staff who underwent swab tests, were found negative of the virus.

“The three employees who were considered confirmed cases for COVID-19 are in good condition and are working on boosting their immune system,” De Guzman added.

The doctor initially tested COVID-positive is already negative of the virus in a succeeding examination of her swab test.

De Guzman said the provincial government wants to ensure that the state of health of employees of EPDH were closely monitored even as massive disinfection and decontamination of the EPDH facilities were undertaken during its temporary closure.

She assured patients and residents that EPDH will serve better with a heart with its re-opening.

The EPDH serves residents of the sixth congressional district of the province. (PhilStar Wire Service/ECV)
