Barangay brass tasked to do errands for sick constituents
TO ease the minds of two residents of Malasiqui town being treated in a hospital, the town’s government moved to take over usual household chores during their confinement.
Mayor Noel Anthony Geslani said in an advisory on March 24 tasked barangay officials where the two live to do the errands for the two who are being treated for COVID-19, particularly to purchase basic necessities like rice, vegetables and other dishes, as well as milk and medicine for their families.
“Coordinate with your barangay councilmen,” Geslani said.
He said the barangay officials should be able to even handle remittances for the two, given an authorization letter.
Meanwhile, he authorized the use of public transport of the town for emergency cases only. (PhilStar Wire Service/ECV)
