THE Pangasinan Reformation Center (PRC) in Barangay San Vicente, Burgos is not used solely for drug rehabilitation of drug surrenders but for youth camps as well.

This was clarified by Carlo Resurrecion, head of the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) secretariat.

He told newsmen during the Talakayan sa Kapitolyo that Governor Amado Espino III has ordered that the PRC is also open for any town and city that wants to organize and host youth camps.

Meanwhile, the PRC, under Dr. Nieves Guiang, has been organizing a four-day Integrated Reformation Program (IRP) for drug users/peddlers who surrendered to help them return to the society after their bout with illegal drugs.

Resurrecion said the IRP was already availed of by 130 drug personalities from Dasol, Mabini, Burgos and Binmaley and Lingayen who surrendered. “It will continue to accommodate drug personalities who surrendered to their town police,” he added.

IRP consists of lectures on moral recovery and livelihood training.

He said the PRC also accommodated team-building exercises for out-of-school youths by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office. (Leonardo Micua)
