POGI sportsfest unfolds on Oct. 8
PANGASINAN’s provincial
government employees showcase their skills and talents anew in various sports
events when this year’s Pagalaw tan Olopan ed Gobyerno Itanduro (POGI) 2019
unfolds on October 8 at Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center gym in Lingayen.
The annual sportsfest which is another sports project of Governor Amado.
Espino, III now on its fourth season will involve this year’s ten disciplines
namely badminton (singles, doubles, mixed doubles), basketball (men), chess
(men), shootfest (men/women), dance sports (men/women), duathlon (relay), tug
of war (men/women), table tennis (singles, doubles, mixed doubles), unity fun
run (men/women), and volleyball (men/women).
According to Pangasinan Sports Development and
Management Council executive officer Modesto Operania and deputy executive
officer Marlon Domalanta, except the duathlon relay and the unity fun run which
will be staged at Bay Walk Area, the eight disciplines will be played in
different venues within the provincial capitol area and most of the skirmishes
will be conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (JAG, Jr.)
