2019 Amman Asian Taekwondo champ lauded
THE provincial board congratulated
on Monday a Pangasinense, in an approved resolution, for winning in the
recently concluded 2019 Amman Asian Taekwondo Championships.
Commended was James Oranza, a 16-year-old taekwondo prodigy of Barangay
Bayaoas, Mangatarem, Pangasinan. He is a member of the 14-man Philippine
Taekwondo National Poomsae Team who competed in the recently concluded 2019
Asian Taekwondo Championships held in Ammam Jordan on July 18-24.
The resolution authored by Second District Board Member Von Mark Mendoza said
the competition was participated in by 31 countries.
Oranza, who displayed his speed and agility in the FreeStyle Mixed Team
Category, earned a bronze medal.
He also bagged a gold medal in the recent 14th ASEAN Taekwondo Championships on May 4-5, 2019 in SM Mall of Asia.
“The sterling performances of James Oranza at an early age is an inspiration and model of the youth in the Province, especially to all young Pangasinenses who aspire to be Taekwondo enthusiasts,” the resolution said. (PhilStar Wire Service)
