LINGAYEN– The Mobile Skills Training Project (MSTP) bus of the provincial government produced its first batch of graduates of cookery course in Labrador town.

Twenty-eight trainees received their certificates of completion on March 15 at Labrador Elementary School after their five-day drill in cookery, adopting creativity in preparing and presenting delicacies and food specialties.

Labrador OFW Association president, Helen U. Alamis, one of the successful graduates, said the mobile training skills program has opened vast opportunities to Pangasinenses.

She said the training enables the graduates to start small business ventures to support their families.

The 29 graduates, composed of 20 girls and 9 boys, expressed their gratitude to the provincial government for the opportunities and benefits offered by the MSTP.

Leading the brief ceremony, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Community-based Training Coordinator Johnny Labasan congratulated the first batch of graduates of cookery training.

The training bus is designed to conduct and offer other soft skills trainings, like: cookery, haircutting and beauty care. (PIO/SMDG)
