LINGAYEN–A newly identified drug personality was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Manaoag town while a motorcycle rider nabbed under Oplan Sita was found keeping one plastic sachet of shabu in his motorcycle compartment.

Arrested in Manaoag was Erick Briones, 34 of Barangay Licsi, Manaoag who tried to sell one sachet of shabu to a police poseur buyer at about 9:20 p.m. last November 26.

Briones agreed to meet the buyer in Barangay Licsi and as soon as he received the marked money in exchange for one sachet of shabu, he was arrested by policemen monitoring the transaction.

In Urdaneta City, William Manibog, 47, was driving his motorcycle when it was stopped by policemen manning a checkpoint in Barangay Cabuloan.

When Manibog was asked to show his driver’s license he failed to show any.  When he opened the U-box of the motorcycle to get the vehicle’s OR/CR, lawmen saw one piece of  small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.

He was promptly arrested. and brought to the Urdaneta City Police Station.

Both suspects were already charged with violation of Republic Act N0. 9165 (Leonardo Micua)
