PHO condemns killing of staff
LINGAYEN— The Provincial Health Office condemned the killing of its 56-year-old employee who was ambushed in Barangay Trenchera in Tayug.
Dr. Ana de Guzman, PHO chief, said the killing of Marietta Reyes, 56 -year old, a female clerk at the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital (EPDH) in Tayug on October 22, was unwarranted.
The victim was shot several times by a still unidentified assailant.
She was initially rushed to the EPDH but later transferred to the Family Doctors’ Hospital
in Tayug where she was declared dead on arrival.
Motive of the slaying remains undetermined as her relatives and co-workers said Reyes received no death threats nor had any enemy. (Leonardo Micua/Nora Dominguez)
Man shot dead
EMMANUEL Dulatre, 50, a native of Bacoor City, Cavite who was in the company of a couple in Barangay Cablong in Pozorrubio was shot at 2:05 p.m. on October 22, by an unidentified suspect.
The suspect and his companions were leaving an eatery on a motorcycle when Dulatre was approached by an unidentified man and shot him in the head twice.
Witnesses said that after shooting the victim, the killer walked away.
Two fired cartridges and one unspent bullet for a Cal. 45 pistol were recovered by Scene of the Crime Operatives from the crime scene.
