MALASIQUI—A tricycle driver was shot dead by unidentified suspects on board a green car in Barangay Nalsian Sur in this town at about 12:05 p.m. of May 29, 2018, the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) reported.

The victim was identified as Emanuel Nicasio, 29, a resident of Barangay Binmaley. He was driving his tricycle towards Dagupan City on his way to Binmaley after visiting his relatives at Barangay Bacnono in Bayambang when he was shot several times by gun men on board a car that was tailing him.

The victim suffered five gunshot wounds in different parts of his body and was rushed to the Bayambang District Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

PNP scene of the crime operatives recovered five spent shells of caliber 45 pistol and two fired bullets of unknown caliber from the crime scene.

Motive behind the slaying is yet to be determined by the police. (Leonardo Micua)
