ANTI-JUVENILE DELINQUENCY CAMPAIGN

THE Dagupan Police will step up its inspection of the different computer shops in the city to ensure that students are not delinquent and do not skip their classes during school hours as well as ensure their safety.

P/Superintendent Jandale Sulit, city OIC-chief of police, said the police duty is in line with Article 21 of the city that prohibits minors from entering computer shops from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., from Monday to Friday.

Sulit said students caught for the first time will receive a stern warning before being told to leave the establishment and ordered to go back to their respective schools.

The computer shop owners will also receive a warning for the first offense.

If the same students are caught in computer shops again, they will be placed under the custody of barangay officials and their parents will be called while the computer shops caught violating the second time, will be recommended for closure and cancellation of their business permit, Sulit said.
