MANDATORY DRUG TEST

HERE’S a piece of good news for Dagupan residents.

The one hundred twenty-five personnel of the Dagupan City Police Station were made to take a surprise mandatory drug test, and all proved negative of illegal drug use.

P/ Superintendent Jandale Sulit, OIC-chief of police, led the DCPS personnel in the surprise drug test.

“The drug test was necessary to ensure that no one in the city’s police force is using illegal drugs and to show the public that we are serious in waging our campaign to fully eradicate illegal drugs in the city,” Sulit said.

“With this proof, we hope to get support and empathy from the public to help in the campaign against illegal drug,“ he added.

“Good news naman, kasi negative lahat ang result ng ating isinagawang drug test,” Sulit said.

The provincial crime laboratory conducted the drug tests.

Meanwhile, Sulit said, the city police have updated the status of all the 1,313 drug personalities that surrendered to ensure that the city remains a drug-free city.

He said his station and the oversight committee are crafting a program for the regular audit and accounting of the rehabilitation of all those that surrendered in the city.

Sulit expressed hope that the barangay residents will continue to cooperate and support the campaign to maintain the city a drug-free community. (Nora Dominguez)
