Cenpelco’s MSEAC officers, members inducted
SAN CARLOS CITY—National Electrification Administration (NEA) Administrator Edgardo Masongsong swore into office the new set of Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative (Cenpelco) Multi-Sectoral Electrification Advisory Council (MSEAC) officers and members in their oath-taking on Dec. 16 here.
Cenpelco General Manager Rodrigo Corpuz said that Section 76 of the Electric Power Industry Reform Act of 2001 (EPIRA) said MSEAC members should serve as information channels in the dissemination of electric cooperative’s programs and policies.
They are also expected to help in the campaigns to improve collections, check pilferage of electricity, as well as promote energy conservation and safety measures, policy recommendation, membership information program, membership meetings and other service-oriented activities.
MSEAC is composed of representatives from agro-fishery, barangay council, business, civic, education, local government, media, religious, youth and women.
Service areas of Cenpelco are Lingayen, Binmaley, Mangaldan, Malasiqui, Bayambang, Urbiztondo, Basista, Alcala, Bautista, San Carlos City, Mangatarem, Aguilar, Bugallon, Labrador and Sual. (Eva Visperas)
