Capitol sets ‘POGI’ Sportsfest in October
LINGAYEN – Preparations are underway for the staging of the Capitol’s first Pagalaw tan Olupan ed Gobyerno Itanduro (POGI) 2016 in October.
POGI sports festival will gather seven teams from among the provincial government’s departments, is actually a continuation of the Angguan Tan Ehersisyo (ATE) sports fest launched during the administration of his predecessor, former Pangasinan governor and now 5th district Representative Amado T. Espino, Jr.
Provincial Sports Consultant Modesto Operania said seven teams of clustered offices, departments, hospitals and agri-field stations of the provincial government will again clash in various categories of 9 sporting events/activities which include: lawn tennis, table tennis, badminton, basketball, volleyball, tug of war, chess, fun run and track events.
Scheduled games will start this October and to end in December.
Muses representing the seven teams will also vie for the Miss POGI pageant to be held right after the sportsfest opening ceremonies. (GN0_PIO)
