2 killed, 5 hurt when SUV hit mango tree
URDANETA CITY—A barangay captain of Echague, Isabela and another person died while five others were injured when the Mitsubishi Montero they rode in hit a mango tree at the road shoulder in Barangay Catablan here night of June 14.
The fatalities were identified as Aureliano Baracao, 52, barangay captain of Malibago, Echague, Isabela who was driving the vehicle and Kenneth Justine Mariano, 21, one of his passengers and also resident of said place.
Baracao was declared dead on arrival at the Sacred Heart Hospital while Mariano died while being treated.
The other five passengers who were also rushed to the hospital were Violeta Baracao, of legal age; Elizabeth Bayan, 52; Teodora Maria Cortez, 48 ; Amara Jane Cortez, 20 and Niko Cortez, 13, all residents of Barangay San Miguel, Ramon, Isabela.
