PROMOTION OF PANGASINAN CULTURE

FIVE private tertiary schools in the province- University of Luzon, Lyceum Northwestern University, University of Pangasinan, Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation, and Colegio De Dagupan- will sign a memorandum of agreement to support the Pangasinan Studies Center.

The establishment of the PSC was an offshoot of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed in June between UP president Alfredo Pascual and Gov. Amado Espino Jr.

The MOU, among other things, tapped UP experts, particularly those who trace their roots to Pangasinan, to help preserve and promote the province’s language and culture.

The signing will be one of the highlights of the 436th Agew na Pangasinan observance on April 5.

One of which is the 5-kilometer “I Love Pangasinan Color Run and Beach Rave” on April 22 at the Capitol beachfront.

For a P200 registration fee, the participant will get a kit consisting of a jersey, shades, and a bib number to be used in the colorful fun run. (Johanne Macob)
