URDANETA CITY—One died while three others were injured when a cargo trailer head and two motorcycles collided along the national highway in Barangay Anonas here on January 12.

Declared dead on arrival at the hospital was Caroline Pablo, of legal age, resident of Tuba, Benguet while hurt were Rodolfo Refuezo, 48, of Tubao, La Union, James Inombon, 29, of Quezon Hill, Baguio City and Jovito Calixberto of Nancamaliran West this city.

Police investigation showed the accident happened when the cargo trailer head driven by Enrico Cruz of Baliuag, Bulacan allegedly overtook and sideswiped a motorcycle driven by Refuezo with Pablo and Inombon as his passengers.

Refuezo’s motorcycle turned upside and skidded to the southbound lane where another motorcycle driven by Calixberto was approaching. Calixberto’s motorcycle also turned turtle and hit the railings of the highway.

Cruz tried to escape but was chased and held by concerned citizens and endorsed him to the responding policemen. (Tita Roces)
