Toff De V: I’ll continue work of my parents

CHRISTOPHER “Toff” De Venecia, son of former Speaker Jose C. de Venecia and Fourth District Congresswoman Gina de Venecia who substituted his mother Gina as candidate for representative of the Liberal Party, said he will continue the unfinished work of his parents.

The young De Venecia made the pledge during the Barangay Night of the Dagupan City Fiesta last week which was also attended by his parents.

“If my father is called the builder and my mother is the heart, your brother Toff shall be the nurturer of the soul in our district,“ the young De Venecia said.

“I will be with you and lead you in facing the challenges of the new millennium,” Toff, a new political upstart and a former youth editor of various national publications.

A political science graduate at the Ateneo de Manila, he admitted that his best source of training are his parents and nurtures all the lessons in public service that they had imparted to him since his childhood.

“I am confident that I could face all the challenges that will come my way because I have the best teachers who painstakingly taught me the act of serving and loving their constituents.”

While he said it is difficult to match the works done by his parents to the people of the Fourth District, he said with his parents by his side, it’d be a “3-in-1 service”. (Leonardo Micua)
