Two gunned down in separate incidents

BASISTA – Two were gunned down while two others were wounded in separate shooting incidents here and in Bolinao town on Dec. 22.

Killed was Delfin Quitaleg Jr, 21, a security guard while his 16-year old brother Darwin Quitaleg was wounded in Barangay Mapolopolo here.

The suspect in the shooting of Quitaleg brothers is Wilfredo Collo, 56, tricycle driver and resident of same place.

The victims were on their way home on board a motorcycle driven by Delfin when Collo, who was then drunk shot, them with an improvised shotgun.

The victims were rushed to Blessed Family Doctors Hospital in San Carlos City but Delfin was pronounced dead on arrival.

Collo fled but responding policemen immediately caught up with him and arrested him.

The police recovered the shotgun used by the suspect at the crime scene.

Motive for the incident is still undetermined.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Concordia, Bolinao town, Henry Damasco, 45, was also shot dead while Lanie Osoria of legal age, was hit by a stray bullet.

They were inside the residence of Osoria with another drinking buddy when an unidentified suspect joined them and allegedly shot Damasco in the head while Osoria’s right hand was hit by a stray bullet. (Tita Roces)
