DTI supports MSMEs by sharing facilities
THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) turned-over three Shared Service Facility (SSF) projects to the owners of Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the towns of Anda, Bolinao, and Bani.
The donated projects are meant to enhance the quality of the products of Anda KLAP-C (meat processing) and FADA Cooperative (bayong-making) in Bolinao and generate more employment particularly in their communities.
The Colayo Organic Farmers Association in Bani, covered by DTI-Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) in Bani, also received an SSF project.
The group received 32 units of equipment that will help the association and the community in the production of organic items.
The DTI-SSF program seeks to address identified bottlenecks in the production of MSMEs by providing equipment needed in the process. In Pangasinan, 39 SSF projects have already been served to various groups. (Johanne Macob)
