Edades family is ‘Uliran a Pamilya” awardee
THE family of Barangay Bolosan Kagawad Romulo A. Edades was chosen as this year’s ‘Uliran a Pamilya’ of Dagupan.
The selection of the ‘Uliran a Pamilya’ is embodied in a Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) Resolution authored by Councilor and Majority Floor Leader Maybelyn Fernandez, as part of the celebration of the National Family Week Celebration.
The Edades family, chosen based on the criteria set by SP and the Inner Wheel Club of Dagupan East, was honored on December 7 during the flag-raising ceremony at the city plaza where they received a plaque of appreciation and a kitchen showcase.
Edades, married to Juliet P. Edades with whom they have four children, namely Raymond Julius, a master electrician; Josephine Eclipses, a registered nurse; Fatima Joyce, and Francis John, both are CPAs.
He is an active member of the Bolosan Pastoral Council and Knights of Columbus 3711 and adviser of the Green Grass Association.
The couple was awarded by the Green Grass Association as the Most Outstanding Parents on December 29, 2013 in recognition of their hardwork, sacrifices, upliftment of family core values and high regard for the importance of education which has inspired other families to also send their children to school.
On August 2007, they were also awarded the Family of the Month by the Knights of Columbus 3711 for their parish and community services and their support in strengthening Christian Family Life.
Mayor Belen T. Fernandez led the recognition ceremony along with Councilors Maybelyn and Marvin Fabia and the officers and members of the Inner Wheel Club of Dagupan East. (JCB/ CIO)
