Cojuangco hails teachers’ role in national development

FORMER Pangasinan Fifth District Rep. Mark Cojuangco lauded thousands of teachers for their special role in molding children’s minds and preparing them to become better citizens.

 Cojuangco, who represented his wife, Fifth District Rep. Kimi Cojuangco on Oct. 3 during the World Teachers Day celebration in SM City in Carmen, Rosales, announced the “free master’s degree education” for all teachers of Pangasinan as one of his major programs for this sector as an alternative gubernatorial aspirant in 2016. 

He said he understands that most teachers could hardly afford to pursue further education due to financial constraints yet he believes that further studies would make them more effective in their mission and profession as teachers.

He vowed to create a special scholarship fund for teachers in the province if elected to head the provincial government in 2016.3- mark5

 The World Teachers Day grand event was led by Pangasinan II Division Schools Superintendent Dr. Donato Balderas and Rosales Mayor Susan Pagador Casareno.

 Cojuangco’s presence drew cheers and appreciation from the multitude of mentors, school heads and DepEd officials who attended the grand event. 

Cojuangco’s wife is the chairwoman of Basic Education in the House of Representatives.
