Rep. Kimi Cojuangco’s committee passes bill for children’s feeding program
COJUANGCO UPDATES
PANGASINAN Fifth District Rep. Kimi Cojuangco said she has already passed a bill in her committee level requiring the Department of Education to fund the Hot Meal and Balanced Feeding Program for every child in all government schools in the country.
Balanced meal means there is meat, vegetables, fruit and other nutritious food items necessary for the growth and health of the school children. “Hindi noodles or kung ano-ano lang!” the congresswoman said.
Cojuangco, wife of former Pangasinan Fifth District Kimi Cojuangco, announced this when she was the honored guest during the inauguration of two-classroom building in Barangay Cabilaoan, Laoac town on August 10, 2015.
She is shown above with Laoac officials led by Mayor Silverio Alarcio Jr. and Education leaders during the school inauguration.
Other photos were taken during Cojuangco’s distribution of farm machineries like four-wheel tractor, hand tractor, thresher, pumps and engine set, to various farmers’ organizations in her district that include Sto. Tomas, Urdaneta City, Binalonan, Pozorrubio, Villasis, Bautista, Sison, Alcala and Laoac.
The distribution was held on August 13 at the Department of Agriculture office at the Pangasinan Research and Equipment Center in Sta. Barbara town.
