Four local artists stage exhibit

“LIMPYON ESAES”

DAGUPAN CITY– Another arts exhibit featuring the works of Pangasinan native artists was launched in this city last July 25.

The exhibit dubbed “Limpyon Esaes (Matinong Bulong)” (Fine Whisper) features the works of four young artists namely, Ben John Albino, Den Mark Dela Cruz, Frank Sison, and Kevin Vila– all members of the Biskeg Pangasinan Artist Collective.

It will run until August 22 at the Liongoren Gallery in Tapuac, Dagupan City.

According to Albino, the exhibit is a dream come true for him.

“This is like the biggest art exhibit of my career as an artist, so far,” he said.

A feature of the exhibit is a mini art fair which offers crafts, stickers, portraits, shirts, and other collectibles to visitors.

A microphone was also made available for music, poem, and lyrics during the opening.

Meanwhile, Biskeg Pangasinan Artist Collective head, Patrick Fernandez, reiterated his call for support to the local art scene.

Biskeg artists have been staging a number of arts exhibit and free art workshops in and outside Pangasinan.

Last March, the group’s female artists staged the “Sarag Mi” (We Can) arts exhibit, in celebration of the Women’s Month, also at the Liongoren Gallery.

The group supports the Sagur Artists Village in Malasiqui town. (Johanne. Macob)
