In his speech, the provincial chief executive reminded the scholars to continue dreaming and value education, as he firmly believes that “education is the greatest equalizer in life.”

As a challenge, Governor Espino asked the scholars “to return the favor on their schools, respective barangays and our province” when they have become successful after graduating from college.

Elated over the animated singing of the Pangasinan Hymn by the scholars, the provincial chief executive cited the significance of the mantra as it binds Pangasinenses together in giving pride and honor to Pangasinan.

Meanwhile, Vice Governor Calimlim urged the scholars to take advantage of their enthusiasm and vigor and contribute on the growth and development of the province. “You have to be the best in what you do because Pangasinan is truly number one,” he stressed.

Board Member Espino likewise asked the scholars to be grateful of the people — family members, scholarship benefactors and community leaders — who support their college schooling.

“Isipin nyo lagi ang mga taong napapagod nang dahil sa inyo at gawin nyo silang inspirasyon,” the young Espino, Liga ng mga Barangay Provincial President, said. /Mark Gerry Oblanca
