SASMUAN OFFICIALS STUDY DAGUPAN RIVER PROJECT – Local officials from the coastal town of Sasmuan, Pampanga headed by their Vice Mayor Renato Banting, councilors and department heads visit Dagupan last April 28 to study the city’s effective river management and  the success of its “Sa Ilog Ko May Pagbabago” program.  Mayor Belen T. Fernandez told the visitors that it takes strong political will to clean the river and remove all illegal fish pens, pointing out that what inspired her was the desire to help restore the livelihood of small fishermen.
