Ma and son selling vegetables killed by HRIT
MANGATAREM – A 64-year old mother and her son were gunned down at around 3:00 a.m. on February 1 in Barangay Macarang here on their way to Camiling, Tarlac to sell vegetables.
The fatalities were identified as Virginia de Vera and her son Ben de Vera, 26, both residents of Barangay Buaya this town were on board their tricycle when they were shot dead by motorcycle-riding hitmen riding in tandem (HRIT) using caliber .45 handgun.
The victims sustained gunshot wounds in their heads and different parts of their body that resulted in their instantaneous death.
Scene of the Crime Operatives from Pangasinan Police Provincial Office in Lingayen town recovered eight pieces of fired cartridge case and two slugs for caliber 45 that were subjected for ballistics and cross matching examination.
The suspects fled while motive for the killing is yet to be established. (Tita Roces)
