It’s a ‘cartoony’ Christmas in Alaminos City

By December 7, 2014Inside News, News

ALAMINOS CITY– The Plaza Marcelo Ochave that houses the main basketball court in this city was virtually transformed into a kids’ playground with all the cartoon characters featured in colorful lanterns hung around the area.

Each lantern featuring a cartoon character represents a barangay in the city. The lanterns are entries in the lantern-making contest with the theme, “Pamaskong Handog sa mga Bata, Yaman ng Pamilya!”

According to the city government, the lanterns hope to awaken the Christmas spirit among the city folks and the visitors that Christmas is about and for the children.

A few meters away from the cartoon lanterns are the giant Christmas Tree and other Christmas lanterns which were lighted last December 1.

The awards for the contest will be presented on December 16 during the Barangay Christmas Party. (Johanne Macob)
