‘Pangasinan is lucky to have a leader like Gov. Espino’ – DOLE Sec. Baldoz

“Pangasinan is lucky to have the best leader like Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. who dreams big for his province.”
This was said by Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz during her visit to the province on November 6 for the distribution of some 35 Nego-Kart projects to identified ambulant vendors in the towns of Basista and Bugallon held at the PESO office here.

In her visit, the Secretary along with Undersecretary Reydeluz Conferido and some of the officials of DOLE regional office was toured around the Capitol building by Congressman Leopoldo N. Bataoil and PESO chief Alex F. Ferrer.
Sec. Baldoz commended the administration of Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. for his all-out support to all programs and projects of labor and employment that aim to enhance the lives of Filipino workers.
“Madali po naming ibaba from the national level down to the local level ang lahat ng aming programa dahil po sa suporta ng isang lider na kagaya ni Gov. Espino,’” she said as she further stated that Pangasinan province shows a perfect example of excellent leadership as proven by the awards bagged by the PESO and the remarkable transformation of the Capitol and its environs.

The DOLE Secretary said she has been to Pangasinan when she was still a POEA administrator sometime between the years 2000 to 2008.
“Luma pa po ang building na ito (Capitol) at ako’y namangha ngayon sa aking nakita. Simbolo po ito ng kung anong klaseng tao ang namumuno dito,” she said even as she noted that she was amazed by the look of the new PESO building whom she dubbed, ‘the best PESO building in the country’ which is far better than the DOLE office.
Meanwhile, Baldoz reiterated that DOLE is more than willing to assist all programs and projects of the provincial government specifically those related to eco-tourism, manufacturing, economic and social reform which are interrelated with labor and employment services. /RRB
